Description

West Michigan has been home to some of the most productive and scenic fruit farms in the Midwest for nearly a century. The 'lake effect' from Lake Michigan provides a unique climate that protects the region's fruit vines from harsh winter conditions and offers slightly warmer temperatures. This micro-climate has fostered a growing reputation for producing high-quality wine grapes, making it an ideal location for a vineyard and winery.

12 Corners Vineyards was established by a group of friends with a shared appreciation for Michigan's distinctive growing conditions. The vineyard is located just four miles from Michigan's renowned 'Gold Coast' in the neighborhood of Twelve Corners, from which the winery derives its name. The 115-acre estate features both vinifera and hybrid grapes, including varieties such as Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Traminette.

The vineyard's diverse soil textures and slopes contribute to a pronounced terroir, enhancing the character of the wines produced. The winemaker, Glen Greiffendorf, combines a passion for wine with extensive knowledge of grape cultivation. The tasting room staff provides exceptional customer service, ensuring a unique and memorable wine-tasting experience.
