Vineyard 2121
Description
Vineyard 2121 was founded by Jeffrey and Deborah Pallas, driven by their passion for quality wine and a desire to contribute to their local Southwest Michigan community. With backgrounds in landscaping and hospitality, respectively, Jeff and Deb combined their skills to create a welcoming destination for relaxation and enjoyment.
The vineyard was established in 2009, transforming an abandoned juice grape operation into a thriving wine and raspberry farm. The initial raspberry crop was sold at local farmers markets while waiting for the wine grapes to mature, with the first harvest occurring in 2012. The Pallas family’s commitment to environmental stewardship was recognized with the Berrien County Conservation Farm of the Year award in 2014.
The tasting room at Vineyard 2121 was constructed from the ground up with support from family, friends, and a dedicated team, officially opening to the public on July 25, 2015. The winery has since expanded its offerings to include small batch brews and premium vodka, alongside a variety of wines. The outdoor space has been enhanced with a larger seating area, an outdoor stage for live music, and fire pit areas for evening enjoyment.
Owners Jeff and Deb are often present at the winery, interacting with guests and sharing their passion for wine. Deb’s favorites include the Seyval Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, while Jeff favors the semi-dry Pandora's Bottle and Cabernet Franc. Vineyard 2121 continues to evolve, maintaining its dedication to quality and community engagement.
